Nykiiah Wright, M.Ed Cross-Categorical Special Education

Nykiiah Wright has experience as a preschool teacher and has always used storytime as a way to expose children to richer language and cultures around the world through music, props and movement. "The more senses I used to engage the children the more they remembered and learned."

In addition to her work as a professional story-teller (griot), Nykiiah is a certified public school teacher in Ohio and Georgia. Nykiiah Wright has worked in public and private k12 schools. She has taught cross-curriculum as well as cross-categorical competencies from primary grade levels through high school. Nykiiah wright has more than 20 years experience in education working directly with special needs children to advanced learners. She is committed to making education accessible for all learners and building curious, creative children into the leaders who will solve the problems of today and tomorrow. Nykiiah is the co-founder of Family World School, Reading Specialist, Special Needs Lead, Middle Years (Session B) ELA teacher, and Monday storytime griot.

Nykiiah began Ms. Nikki's Traveling Story Bag as a full-service storytelling entity to share stories that help others.  Nykiiah has told stories for professionals and youth at the Boys & Girls Club, children and adult care day camps, religious centers, birthday parties, panel discussions, schools, anniversaries, receptions, workplaces, libraries, higher learning institutions and more.  Audiences of all ages enjoy Ms. Nikki's interactive style of storytelling.

Daisy Ross, B.Sc Early Childhood Education, AA. Elementary Education TESOL, CLC, Revolutionary Educator

Daisy Ross is an education consultant and author with a diverse background. Outside of Family World School, Daisy provides services for individuals involved in home schools, after-school, and academic supports as well as educational organizations, cooperatives, childcare facilities, and families looking for supports in the home. Some services provided for home schools are official transcripts for graduating home school seniors entering college, parent education resources, and curricular recommendations and design for the home school program based on family goals and State standards.

Daisy Ross believes in Revolutionary Education by any means necessary. This means that our youth must be provided with an education that will sustain them physically, intellectually, culturally, and spiritually. In order to do this families must rely on their commonalities and connect with like-minds to promote learning in a way that meets the needs of the family. This is why she founded FWS. 

​

Daisy is a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Reading Coach, Curriculum designer, Author, & Education Professional Coach. In her work as a Professional Coach, 

she connects educators with resources that help them reach their professional goals. Daisy's work as an author has inspired her to help other writers become published and learn about the writing/ publishing process. Daisy Ross worked with educators around the world to develop the Family World School as a resource for families. Daisy is Family World School's Elementary Years (Session A) English Language Arts teacher, Family World School coordinator and director. We hope your family will benefit from the expertise and care put into the development of this program.  

Ms. Takor

Ms. Lucila Takor is a young telecommunications engineer, mathematician, and chemistry teacher living in the country Cameroon.

​

She is Family World School's group class math teacher. Ms. Takor has experience teaching Elementary, Middle, High School through Graduate level Math subject matter including but not limited to calculus, algebra, and Math test prep for international standardized tests (GRE, SAT, IGCSE). Ms. Takor will use various teaching techniques as well as the patience that is needed to teach your child Math skills up to college level.

Each lesson is Project-based and students are expected to use what they learned to create a product each week. Ms. Takor teacher Session A and Session B Math.

Ms. Sharon

Ms. Sharon is Family World School's Spanish teacher. She lives near the ocean in the country Columbia. 

​

Your child can learn Spanish through Family World School's LIVE group classes with Ms. Sharon. She uses many teaching techniques to help improve comprehension, but most importantly, to get your young learner speaking Spanish fluently.
